What i’ve been working on for the past six months, summer 2026 edition
In the last six months I built a website for the Anne Frank House and took an AI storytelling installation for children on a four-city tour. A look back at my first half of 2026 as a freelancer.
- For the Anne Frank House I built a website celebrating the life of her sister, Margot, who would have turned 100 this year. It’s a richly illustrated story combined with interesting items from the archives.
- Bakkus, an audio installation where children co-create a story with AI that I developed for the Cinekid film festival in 2025, went on tour. We ran it at Performing Bits (Schouwburg Utrecht), VerhalenToren (Forum Groningen), De Cammeleur (Dongen) and DEN / InnovationLab (Utrecht).
- I attended the Wikimedia Hackathon in Milan and held two workshops on the impact of AI on the Wikimedia developer community. I later wrote a long blog post about it.
- For Podiumkunst.net i gave a workshop on new ways of making Dutch song heritage accessible to new audiences.
- At Live Coding Amsterdam I performed a live coding set using my custom-built audio/video mixer.
- As an advisor for the Creative Industries Fund NL I participated in two funding rounds as an advisor.
I’m currently working on a number of exciting new projects that will launch in the second half of the year. I’m always interested in projects that mix code, sound, image, and storytelling, especially in the cultural and heritage sector. If that’s you, get in touch.
